The 12 fibre Internal to External Joint
Box is suitable for transition jointing an external cable
to an internal cable. This is especially suitable for applications
where the installer is seeking to avoid the use of traditional
style dome or inline closures, whether on the basis of cost,
space restrictions, ease of use or aesthetics. This particular
box mirrors a number of box sizes that CTEC provide to cover
for various fibre count and cable diameter configurations.
The additional benefit of this approach is clear, in that
the box design is easily modified to act as a spur cable or
fibre drop-off point within a network.
This version has the following features:
• Four knockout style cable entry
points (2+2 opposing) for cable glands
(2 supplied) suitable for a diameter range of Ø7.0
- Ø13.0mm.
• Two
central tension member (CTM) clamps, suitable for CTMs up
to Ø6.5mm max.
• One 12 fibre capacity hinging splice
cassette, plus splice protectors.
• An IP67, UL94 HB rated ABS Box,
this one being 150mm wide * 200mm
high * 80mm deep, together with internal plate.
• Cable ties.
It should be noted that this design
approach is extremely easy to re-configure or customise. As
such, customers should contact CTEC to obtain a quotation
and proposal in instances where different cable counts and/or
configurations are required.
